Beside the splendid ruin
of the town's Norman castle stands the heritage centre where
you can learn about William Williams Pantycelyn, the famous Welsh
hymn writer who wrote the words translated as "guide me
o'thou great redeemer."
You can also learn about
Rhys Pitchard, a clergyman and poet who is the author of
"Cannwyll-Y-Cymro". His reputed desk can still be seen within the centre.
