Llandovery is a small market
town in the east part
of Carmarthenshire. Its Welsh name is Llanymddyfri, which
means "The Church Amidst the Waters." This is indeed true
- on one side of the valley floor is Afon Tywi and on the
other is Afon Bran.
Running through the centre
of the town itself is Y-Bawddwr and the fourth river is
Afon Gwydderig.
